The Amave String Quartet

The Amave String Quartet is a new group under Beautiful Music by Melanie that performs for weddings and other special events throughout the Lake Norman region. Created from a close-knit group of music teachers who love to play and educate, Amave (formed from the first letters of our first names, and derived from the Latin root “Amavi” meaning “to have loved”), is a lively group of women that enjoy making music, and have a great time doing it! We have a creative director, Emma, (Melanie’s granddaughter), who cheers us on at each rehearsal, offers critizism where needed, and has her own discerning tastes of music! We are passionate about our playing, and hope to grow in the quartet scene for your enjoyment of fine classical, pop, rock, and acoustic folk music. We will gladly accept your favorite song requests!
