About me
About me
Melanie Catherine Stokes started playing the violin at the age of eight. She studied Music Performance at SUNY Empire State College in Albany, NY, and has studied privately with various violin teachers in the Northeast.
Melanie was the Principal first violinist and Concertmaster for the Lake Norman Orchestra in Mooresville, NC and a member of the Board of Directors as Treasurer. She also volunteered for the orchestra in many different capacities, including acting as Music Librarian…

Melanie’s teaching career began in 2022, and she has taught many students, from very young to adult. Melanie’s philosophy is that there is no greater joy than playing the instrument that you love and expressing yourself through the beauty of music!
