Lessons
Melanie’s teaching career began in 2022, and she has taught many students, from very young to adult. Melanie’s philosophy is that there is no greater joy than playing the instrument that you love and expressing yourself through the beauty of music! Playing music lifts your soul and heals you; it transcends you to a place of peace and tranquility.
Melanie teaches note reading and uses techniques such as counting/clapping, rhythm through body movement, and harmonic awareness. Students learn how to read music, understand music theory, and gain skills in sight-reading, solo performance, and group ensemble playing. In addition to her private studio teaching, Melanie is a violin instructor at the Lake Norman Music School in Denver, NC. Previously, Melanie has taught at Music and Arts in Hickory, NC, and at Ludmilla Academy in Cornelius, NC. Melanie is accepting new students, and offers a free trial lesson. If a violin is needed, Melanie partners with Davidson Violins in Davidson, NC and will refer you to their violin rental and purchase program.
Violin Lessons $55/hr. per 45 minute lesson.
